Luray Chamber Gets “50 Years of Love” Tourism Grant

15 March 2019 Luray/Page County News

The Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center announced Thursday (3/14/2019) that it’s received a $10,000 grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation “50 Years of Love” grant fund.

“50 Years of Love” is a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Commonwealth’s “Virginia is for Lovers” slogan, first created in 1969. The Luray-Page Chamber has partnered with 13 organizations to promote the program and will be creating its own personal mobile LOVEwork to display at events, as well as “50 Years of Love” logo napkins for their beer, wine, and spirits partners. The VTC awarded $390,000 to 39 tourism marketing programs across the Commonwealth as a part of this project.
