ASHLAND, Va. – Host Randolph-Macon completed a sweep of the season series with Shenandoah University in an 80-73 ODAC men’s basketball victory over the Hornets Wednesday evening.

The ODAC co-leading Yellow Jackets (16-6, 12-1 ODAC) made their last four free throws to ice the victory over Shenandoah (8-14, 4-9).

The Hornets cut the deficit to three points, 76-73, with 23 seconds remaining following a Malcolm Clark 3-pointer.

Forced to foul on the ensuing possession, SU saw Macon hit a pair from the line and then missed a layup with seven seconds left to try and keep it to a one possession contest.

R-MC hit its final two from the line with five seconds left to provide the final margin of victory.

Clark had a game-high 31 points in 31 minutes of action. He was 11 for 16 from the field (3 of 4 from behind the arc) and 6 of 10 from the line in posting his season-high output.

Dalon McHugh and Kwa McDonald had 14 and 12 points, respectively, to back up Clark.

Michael Taylor had 19 points for the hosts.

Both teams were 26 of 54 from the field (48 percent) and SU had a 35-30 advantage on the glass.

Shenandoah hosts Hampden-Sydney on Saturday in a 2 p.m. ODAC contest.
