Man Faces Charges after Allegedly Leaving Scene of Crash

Authorities are accusing a 19 year old Winchester City man of fleeing the scene of a car crash he was involved in.
Richard Lee Patterson Jr. allegedly crashed his car into a truck parked on National Avenue near the Highland Avenue intersection. The incident is said to have occurred around 8:00pm on July 19. The collision caused substantial damage to both vehicles. According to a witness, Patterson and a passenger left the car and walked toward downtown.
Patterson turned himself into authorities a day after the incident. He has been charged with charged with reckless driving, hit and run involving an unattended vehicle, driving with a revoked or suspended license and failing to furnish proof of insurance.
