Man Faces Child Cruelty Charge in Warren County
Front Royal Police have arrested a Manassas man for allegedly injuring a 17-month-old child.
Police said in a release Wednesday (7/17/2019) that Malcolm E. Tapscott Jr. had the victim in his care when the incident occurred on July 16, 2019, in the 300 block of Cherrydale Avenue. A forensic examination of the child was conducted by the Winchester Medical Center, which found the injuries sustained to be serious but not life threatening. Police are revealing no further details in the case, as the investigation is ongoing.
Tapscott was arrested without incident on a charge of cruelty and injury to children, and is being held without bond at the RSW Regional Jail. He’s set to appear in Warren CountyJuvenile and Domestic Relations Court on August 29, 2019.
