Martinsburg Police investigate an exchange of gunfire

Martinsburg Police report the investigation of a report of gunfire in the North Queen Street area April 10.

The incident took place in the 500 block of the street and was reported at approximately 2 p.m.

Evidence at the scene indicates that a gunfire exchange did take place at the sight with the parties involved apparently at a distance from one another.

At the latest report there is no indication that anyone was struck during the gunfight.

Investigators are actively gathering information and interviewing witnesses.

Martinsburg police are encouraging anyone with any information in the incident to come forward as the investigation is ongoing.
