More drop off locations for National Take Back Day

Frederick County announced drop off locations for unwanted or outdated prescription drugs on National Take Back Day.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office on Coverstone Drive, Walgreens on Valley Mill Road and two Walmart locations on Walmart Drive and Maranto Manor are drop off locations.

Strasburg Police Department will also be a drop off location as will the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

All drop offs locations will be available April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..

In October’s take back day the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) collected almost 500 tons of unwanted or expired prescriptions.
