Murder charges filed against West Virginia arsonist

A suspect has been arrested and charged with four counts of felony wildland arson and a count of felony murder following the death of a forester.
Wildfire Today reports that the fire was reported on April 12 and while fighting the blaze a tree fell on and killed Forester Cody J. Mullins.
While battling the blaze the Division of Forestry determined that the fire was intentionally set, which led to the arrest of 39-year-old David A. Bass of Kimberly West Virginia.
Bass has been transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await court proceedings.
Before firefighters could control the fire, it had grown to consume several hundred acres.
The West Virginia House of Delegates and Governor Jim Justice both praised Mullens.
Governor Jim Justice remarked that we owe an enormous dept of gratitude to all firefighters.
