Nature Nurtures series to celebrate the goodness of the earth
Blandy Experimental Farm announced Nature Nurtures, a three-part series celebrating the goodness of the earth, will be held virtually this Saturday, Oct. 24.
The series will be split into three sessions: 11 a.m. 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
From 11 to 11:45 a.m., chef and owner of Field & Main Restaurant, Neal Wavra, will present “A Cooking Demonstration: Loving All of Nature’s Culinary Gifts”
Internationally known garden designer, author, and native plant advocate, Colston Burrell, will lead “Beauty, Integrity, and Resilience: Can a Garden Have Everything?” from 1 to 1:45 p.m.
The series will wrap up with Corey McDonald, herbalist and owner of Red Root & Co, presenting “Taking Care of Yourself in Autumn, Thanks to Nature” from 3 to 3:45 p.m.
The fact- and fun-filled event will support the Foundation of the State Arboretum of Virginia.
