New Front Royal Mayor Speaks Out on EDA Scandal

13 June 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

Front Royal’s new interim mayor spoke out on the Warren County Economic Development Authority scandal during his first regular Town Council meeting.

Mayor Tederick said Monday (6/10/2019) that he was disappointed that the town’s efforts to see the EDA’s forensic audit had been rebuffed, and that he believed Front Royal’s taxpayers are owed money. Tederick said that the community is reeling from the fraud perpetrated by Jennifer McDonald, and a perceived lack of oversight. He requested that Front Royal’s Town Council approve discussion on the dissolution of the EDA for the next town and county liaison session, and that they discuss the appointment of a citizen commission to evaluate the Town Council, Board of Supervisors, and EDA as well.
