New Security Equipment Coming to Warren Schools

10 January 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

During a recent meeting, Warren County’s School Board voted to approve funding for new security equipment.

The unanimous vote means that $58,196 worth of equipment will be bought, a purchase made possible by $62,814 awarded through the Virginia Department of Education School Security Equipment Grant Program. E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School, Skyline Middle School, and Ressie Jeffries Elementary School will all benefit from the security update, which primarily consists of security cameras but will also include upgrades to public address systems.

The Board also voted Wednesday (1/2/2019) to approve the Jenna Grace Lee Scholarship. The $500 scholarship is intended for a female pursuing a two or four year degree, and is meant to encourage the dedication and education of young ladies who will make a difference in the lives of others.
