NVRDGTF issue a warning and plea

The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force (NVRDGTF) has reported an alarming number of fatal overdoses since last Wednesday.

This is likely due to fentanyl a lethal synthetic opioid.

This often requires multiple doses of naloxone to revive the victim.

The overdoses have affected every county in our region.

The NVRDGTF is encouraging residents to reach out to friends and loved ones who are living with addiction to issue a warning if not an intervene.
