NVRDGTF respond to more overdoses

Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force (NVRDGTF) responded to another overdose emergency at Cedar Hill Road in Frederick County.
After life saving efforts failed an investigation was launched with two suspects being identified.
After a subsequent search of the suspect’s residence in Clarke County authorities recovered over $2,000 in illegal drugs and numerous firearms.
Charges against the suspects are forthcoming.
So far this year authorities have responded to fifteen fatalities and 53 overdoses all suspected to be related to fentanyl.
Fentanyl can be 100 times more potent than morphine with only 2 milligrams fatal to the average human.
Authorities continue to encourage individuals living with addiction to seek treatment and assistance.
