Old Town Winchester to resume parking meter enforcement

23 May 2020 Covid19 Winchester News

The Winchester Parking Authority will again start enforcing the use of parking meters in Old Town Winchester as of June 1. Parking in metered spaces has been free for the past two months due to COVID-19. However, with businesses reopening, it is important to ensure that parking options are available for all Old Town customers and visitors. Enforcing parking meter use guarantees that parking spaces are continually turning over throughout the day.

Use of loading zones and handicap spaces have been and will continue to be monitored and enforced. In addition to metered parking, the City also offers four downtown garages.

Metered parking is always free 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday to Friday, on weekends and on designated City holidays. You can use the Parkmobile app to guarantee that you never overstay your meter.
