An email from Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) announced that Page County has received a $500 grant.

The funds will be used to help support the Youth Page County Alliance program toward raising $25,000 to create a community center in the county.

The community center hopes to offer a safe place for teens in Page County to hang out in a drug and alcohol free environment.

The grant is a part of the Wheeler Award which is granted annually to a school or organization participating in the Virginia Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Project.
