Pilot walks away after plane crash in Frederick County

Virginia State Police (VSP) responded to a plane crash in Frederick County yesterday Feb. 24 at approximately 2:20 p.m.
Pilot Jonathan D. Behnke of Maryland suffered engine failure of his Cessna Aircraft shortly after takeoff from Winchester Regional Airport.
Behnke was able to make an emergency landing in a field near Back Mountain Road and Fishel Road in Frederick County.
Upon impact the plane broke its front wheel flipping over.
The pilot suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated at Winchester Medical Center.
No one other injuries occurred, the crash remains under investigation.
