Barns of Rose Hill Upcoming Concerts & Barnstorming Benefit

12 August 2020

Today’s episode was pre-recorded via Zoom with Sarah Ames, Executive Director for the Barns of Rose Hill to talk about a few of their upcoming concerts, exhibits and their barnstorming benefit happening virtually this year on September 5, 2020.

Sarah explained how her organization has had to pivot from offering indoor performances at their facility to partnering with B Chord Brewing Company for outdoor performances. She gave us their upcoming lineup and told us about some performances they’re also hosting on Facebook Live:

  • Emi Sunshine at B Chord Brewing Company on Friday, August 14, 2020
  • Dori Freeman at B Chord Brewing Company on Friday, August 21, 2020
  • Facebook Live from Barns of Rose Hill: Peter and the Wolf Preview w/ Jon Goldberg on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 7:30pm
  • Christian Lopez at B Chord Brewing Company on Friday, September 4, 2020
  • Facebook Live from Barns of Rose Hill: Melissa Wright sings Patsy Cline on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 8pm

We also talked about their annual gala that will be virtual this year: The Barns of Rose Hill Barnstorming Benefit will feature musicians, artists, and other special guests. The event will live stream on Facebook and YouTube from 5:30pm – 6:30pm on Saturday, September 5, 2020. You can RSVP by signing up for a free ticket that includes viewing instructions. As part of the fundraiser, Barns of Rose Hill is also offering an online auction that began on August 5 and will be live through through September 5, 2020. The auction features art work, jewelry, food and drink packages, overnight trips, and more. CLICK HERE to view and bid on those items, plus you can preview items in person at the Barns of Rose Hill Upper Gallery between 12pm – 3pm Tuesday through Saturday.

Sarah also told us about their Inspired by Endangered Species Quilt Exhibit that will be on display through September 12, 2020. She explained the history of similar exhibits by this artist and talked about how they come together. 182 quilts were created from a wide variety of international fiber artists, using a broad array of abilities, materials and techniques. Conservationists, educators and scientists have taken great interest in joining these artists to sound the alarm of diminishing populations of threatened species.
