Camping for Hunger 2019: Valley Health Community Health & Wellness
21 November 2019
As Camping for Hunger 2019 continues, we were broadcasting The Valley Today from the Camping for Hunger bus parked at Royal Plaza Shopping Center. All week, Valley Today guests will speak about the under-served populations in our community and the ways we can help improve their quality of life through donations, services & support.
Liz told us about the $19 million+ in charity care provided by Valley Health’s various facilities in 2018; the more than 150 organizations and non-profits that they partner with throughout the year including the free medical clinics. Pam told us about the services offered through Shenandoah Community Health Clinic including the newest program offering mental health counseling through Shenandoah County Schools.
