Clarke County Public School’s Re-Opening Plan
3 September 2020
We pre-recorded our conversation via Zoom with Dr. Chuck Bishop, Superintendent of Clarke County Public Schools to talk about Clarke County Public School’s re-opening plan, how those plans have changed in the last few weeks and why, plus to talk about what virtual classes will look like when the semester begins on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
Dr Bishop explained how classes will work in hybrid and virtual mode for students across the county. Elementary schools will open for in-person classes a few days each week while middle and high schools will offer virtual only classes through the first semester. We talked about the need for internet access and the plans in place for students/parents/teachers to access the internet – and the equipment required as well. Dr. Bishop told us how meals will be handled once school re-opens and talked about the resources available for parents.
