Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley
6 August 2020
We pre-recorded today’s conversation via Zoom with Larry Weiss, Executive Director for the Community Foundation of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. The Community Foundation Northern Shenandoah Valley makes it easy for anyone to become a philanthropist. With as little as $5000 you can create a fund that will support your favorite charitable causes. You can also give in any amount to an existing fund or support an annual campaign or a sponsored organization through our foundation.
Larry explained the role of the foundation and the various services it offers to donors. He walked me through the process to set up a charitable fund and the benefits of doing so whether you’re an individual or a business. We talked about the impact that COVID-19 has had on the community and the round of grants that were recently offered through the Community Foundation Northern Shenandoah Valley. Those recipients will be announced in October.
