Community Tourism – Shenandoah National Park
5 October 2018
We were in the studio with Katie Cooper from Luray-Page County Chamber of Commerce along with Emily Guss, Park Ranger & Sally Hurlbert, Management Specialist for Shenandoah National Park to talk tourism, park perks and to learn how businesses and community members can take advantage of park visitors to grow their business. The show idea came from a Community Tourism Workshop hosted by the Luray-Page Chamber of Commerce in late August 2018 for their tourism industry related members.
We continued our conversation after the show ended on-air to talk about the economic impact the park/tourism has on local communities in addition to other topics. You can hear the entire conversation on the podcast.
