Edinburg Ole Time Festival & WoodsTACO Street Taco Festival
3 September 2019
We were in the studio for Tourism Tuesday – Shenandoah County edition (at our NEW time (12:05pm) and with a NEW format) for a conversation with Kary Haun from Shenandoah County Tourism and her guest, Katie Mercer, Director of Marketing & Events for the Town of Woodstock. For a full list of Shenandoah County events, visit their website: https://visitshenandoahcounty.com/events/
Kary gave us all the details for one of her favorite festivals of the year – Edinburg’s Ole Time Festival. Now in it’s 39th year, the event will take place on Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 22, 2019 and feature a parade, crafters, food (including the Pioneer Breakfast), bed races, beard contests, and more. For a full list of the activities and a schedule of when they take place, visit their website: http://www.edinburgoletimefestival.org/
Katie told us about the newest event/festival happening in Woodstock on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from Noon til 5pm: WoodsTACO Street Taco Festival. The event will feature live music, lots of food and the opportunity for both professional and amateur taco makers to enter the competition. You can download the application (accepted through September 2, 2019) and rules here: WoodsTACO_Rules2019 or on their website by clicking here.
