Municipal Monday: Frederick County Voting Options

21 September 2020

We pre-recorded today’s conversation with Rich Venskoske, Director of Elections and Registrar for Frederick County to learn all the Frederick County voting options: in-person on election day, early in-person voting at their 2 locations, mail-in ballot information and more.

To register to vote or to request an absentee ballot:  www.elections.virginia.gov

Early In-Person Voting began on September 18, 2020. Registered voters may vote Early In-Person at the Office of Elections (107 N. Kent Street) between 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday; or at their satellite office at 261 Sunnyside Plaza Drive, off North Frederick Pike, from 10am to 6pm, Monday through Friday. Both locations will be open from 9am to 5pm on Saturday October 24 and 31, 2020.

Tuesday October 13th is the last day to register to vote in the November Election.

Friday October 23rd is the last day to request a Vote-by-Mail Ballot.

All Frederick County Polling Precincts will be open for voting on Election day.

There are TWO Drop Box locations: at the Registrar’s Office 107 N. Kent Str., Ste 102 and at 261 Sunnyside Plaza Dr.  Both locations are open during normal operating hours. If dropping off your marked ballot, it must be inside your filled out “B” envelope and placed inside the return envelope. All polling places will have Drop Boxes on Election Day.

Sample Ballots for the November 3, 2020 election can be viewed on the Future Elections page.
