We were in the studio today with Matt Wendling, President of the Front Royal/Warren County Anti-Litter Council and his guest, Mike Berry, Warren County’s Director of Public Works to talk about the county’s Annual Residential Clean-Up Day and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day along with awards and projects for the Anti-Litter Council.
Matt gave us some background on the Front Royal-Warren County Anti-Litter Council which was founded in the early 1980s by concerned citizens of the Town and County and Supported by the State Litter Program. He also told us about the Anti-Litter Educational Awards Program that has given on average $3,300 a year to Community and Educational groups for projects that have been submitted for an approx. total of $36,300. You can download that application here: 2017 – 2018 FR-WC Anti-Litter Council Application Packet for Award Program
Mike talked about the upcoming Clean-Up Day happening on October 28th and filled us in on what can and cannot be accepted along with the rules for who can drop things off. We also talked about the importance of having a decal on your vehicle for dropoff and where you can pick one up if you no longer have one. To download their flyer, click here: CleanupPosting2017
