GNC Online Auctions

1 February 2021

We pre-recorded today’s conversation via Zoom to chat with Scott Haines & Felicia Hart about their business, GNC Online Auctions.

The couple purchased the business in August 2020 from the previous owners who were retiring/relocating. GNC Online Auctions is a local online auction company where all bids are placed via their website and then the items are picked up locally (or shipped if you win something and live outside of driving distance.)

We talked about the types of items they auction that range from furniture (new & antique), coins, sports cards, housewares, tools and much more. All of the items come from consignors who are looking to clean out their basements, their garages, or a spare bedroom. Many collectors also bring items on a regular basis to auction. They explained that in addition to their “in-house” auctions each week, they also offer “off-site” auctions for those who have an entire house to clean out, a business to close or an estate to settle. All bids for each auction start at $5.

Scott told us about the “strangest” item he’s ever auctioned and we talked about some items that were a surprise high bid when the auction closed.

For more information about becoming a consignor, to see what’s included in the current auction, or reach out to them about an off-site auction, visit their website: gnconlineauctions.com, send an email to scott@gncantiques.com, or stop by the warehouse on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am – 5pm. They are located at 485 Fort Collier Road in Winchester. You can reach them by phone at: 540-535-1570
