Tourism Tuesday: Hawksbill Trading Company
18 February 2020
We recorded today’s conversation for Tourism Tuesday – Luray/Page County edition – at Hawksbill Trading Company. Edie Emmons from Luray/Page County Chamber of Commerce joined me for the conversation along with her guest, Jay North from Hawksbill Trading Company.
We talked about the history of Hawksbill Trading Company and how Jay came to be it’s President. Jay told us about all the vendors you’ll find within this charming building located at 139 Virginia Avenue in Luray, VA. Their mission as a non profit business incubator is to provide resources and a venue for entrepreneurs seeking to start a small business.Jay explained all the different types of businesses located within the incubator and talked about some of the resources and services offered to them to facilitate their growth.
We discussed the importance of incubators such as this and the economic impact they can have on small communities across the Shenandoah Valley.
