Winchester Mayor John David Smith praises the Citizens of Winchester for their poise during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mayor Smith was grateful for the City’s response to the COVID-19 and talks about the future of events in the city.

The Mayor was optimistic about the recovery effort but stopped short of a full recovery before summer’s end.

His optimism for recovery looks toward fall as a time that Winchester will be in a better place.

However he did say that there has been talk of an Independence Day celebration.

Most of the events will hinge on the governor’s further relaxation of restrictions.

Here is the Mayor’s interview.
