We pre-recorded today’s conversation over Zoom with Dennis Lynch, Executive Director for the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival to get an update about the performances scheduled for this year’s season. Dennis walked us through their safety protocols and what the concerts will look like when they kick off on September 5, 2020. He explained what’s happened with scheduled performances: cancellations, postponements and reschedules to 2021 in order to make the 2020 season a success. This season has been shortened and will begin Labor Day weekend. Dennis told us they are still in talks for two additional acts they may be added in the coming weeks. For up to date information about scheduling changes, follow them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/svmusicfest/ Dennis also told us about their newest project: VirginiaIsForMusicLovers.live a clearinghouse calendar for musicians and performers to list their live-stream events. The site will be live in the coming weeks and artists are encouraged to send their schedules for inclusion.
