The 411 on Warren County 4-H
18 October 2019
We were in the studio for a conversation with Stacy Swain, 4-H Youth Development Educator from Warren County’s Extension Office. Stacy told us about the wrap up of 4-H’s year, the fairs, livestock sales and recent regional, state & national awards. We talked about all the elements involved with 4-H including leadership skills, equine programs, shooting skills programs and more. She explained that 4-H is more than just county fairs and livestock shows.
We talked about re-enrollment for the new 4-H year, the ages for children who are interested, their monthly meetings and all the activities that are available. You can get more information about the Warren County 4-H program on their website here: https://ext.vt.edu/4h-youth.html and by following them on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WarrenCounty4HVA/
Stacy also told us about an upcoming Managing Your Money Series hosted by the extension office. You can download that flyer with dates & times here: Managing Your Money Flyer, All Counties, Fall 2019 and get more information on the website for the Northern Shenandoah Valley Financial Education Program: https://warren.ext.vt.edu/programs/nsvfep.html
