Lonnie's Fun Fact for Friday February 26, 2021. Let's take a look at an odd animal today. As a matter of fact, we'll be able to see right through it! Just as you can see through glass, you can see through the extraordinary glass frog. According to Far and Wild dot com, many of these frogs have lime-green skin, but some lack any coloration on their underside, making their organs visible to the naked eye. Equally amazing are their spotted backs, which scientists speculate are meant to resemble eggs so predators going after their offspring get confused. If you'd like to look through a glass frog your best chance of spotting this tree-dweller is in Costa Rica or Panama.
