Tourism Tuesday – Front Royal Edition: Appalachian Trail
13 March 2018
We were in the studio for Tourism Tuesday – Front Royal/Warren County edition – with Felicia Hart, Director of Development & Tourism for the Town of Front Royal and her guests, Sonja Carlborg, Chair of the Front Royal/Warren County Appalachian Trail Community Committee and Kerry Barnhart, Main Street Front Royal property & business owner.
We talked about the impact being an Appalachian Trail designated community has on tourism and commerce in Front Royal. Sonja gave us some history and statistics about the AT hikers, while Kerry talked about the importance of offering products & services to the hikers to improve the bottom line of small businesses in our community.
Kerry also gave us expected opening dates for several of the businesses that are located in her buildings, such as Front Royal Brewery as well as the art gallery and Try Thai in the former Weaver Building.
