Tourism Tuesday: Front Royal Tree Stewards

8 May 2018

We were in the studio for Tourism Tuesday with Felicia Hart, Director of Community Development & Tourism for the Town of Front Royal and her guest, Vicki Althaus, a Front Royal tree steward since 2015.

Felicia pointed out all the things that happen in our community that residents may “think” are done by local government agencies that are actually done by “hidden helpers” like the Front Royal Tree Stewards. Vicki told us about the organization, it’s goals and about a few of the projects they are currently partnering with the town to complete and/or maintain such as the Royal Shenandoah Greenway that recently opened.

Royal Shenandoah Greenway is a system of paths and trails to support active and healthy living and appreciation of nature for local residents and visitors of all ages. The Greenway connects Front Royal’s educational, recreational, historical, and commercial areas.
