Tourism Tuesday: Genealogy at Handley Regional Library

23 January 2018

We were in the studio today for Tourism Tuesday with Justin Kerns, our Winchester “tourism dude” from Winchester-Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau and his guest, Becky Ebert, an archivist with Handley Regional Library. Justin & Becky talked about the number of tourists that come to our area each year to research their genealogy and find a pathway back in history to their roots.

We talked about the different services offered by the library (most are free of charge) and the helpful staff that can point you in the right direction when doing your family history research. Handley Library also gives it’s patrons access to many of the genealogy websites as well. For more information, visit their website: http://www.handleyregional.org/

Justin also gave us an overview of a few events happening in and around Winchester/Frederick County in the next few weeks. For a full list of events, visit their website: http://www.visitwinchesterva.com/events
