United Way NSV COVID-19 Relief Fund Update
24 April 2020
We recorded today’s conversation with Elise from United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley to get a COVID-19 Relief Fund update and talk about their current fund distribution process from their recent campaign.
Elise gave us a quick rundown of all the organizations that have received immediate funds from their COVID-19 Relief Fund and the impact it is having on our community. We talked about the initial matching funds and the recent additional $50,000 in matching funds that became available. You can follow the COVID-19 Relief Fund updates, make a donation, or inquire about services here: https://www.unitedwaynsv.org/covid-19-relief-fund
We also discussed the fund distribution process for agencies who submitted impact grants to receive “undesignated” funds from the yearly campaign. There were over 36 different organizations and non-profits who submitted requests in excess of $780,000 for the $450,000 in available funding.
