We were in the studio for United Way Day with Elise from United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley and her guest, Mia Dezura, Asso. Dean of Students for Lord Fairfax Community College. We talked about the college’s food pantry & mental health counseling program offered to students through grants from United Way NSV. Mia told us about the impact of the food pantry on her students; and, we talked about the role mental health plays in the success of students.
