Valley Health COVID-19: Telehealth Services

We recorded today’s episode via Zoom with Dr. Jeff Feit, Vice President of Population Health for Valley Health and Chief Medical Officer for Valley Medical Group to talk about Valley Health’s telehealth services.

Our conversation included details about Valley Health’s telehealth services. We discussed what they involve, how they work and the process for using them even if you don’t have a primary care physician. We also discussed the respiratory care clinics, their relationship to the telehealth services offered, and when/how someone should visit one for further evaluation. He told us about the COVID-19 hotline (that number is 540-536-0380) and the integral role it plays in the process. We also talked about the virus itself, steps to prevent it and the importance of understanding immunity.

Lonnie's Fun Fact for Friday April 16, 2021. A different type of animal. I usually try to include an animal in my weekly Fun Facts, but today it's not just one, it's a whole box of animals. This Sunday is National Animal Cracker day. According to National Day Calendar dot com animal crackers first came to the United States in the late 1800s when animal-shaped cookies were imported from England. In 1902, animal crackers officially became known as Barnum’s Animals and the familiar circus train theme of the Barnum and Bailey Circus. Later that year, Nabisco designed the now-familiar box with a string for the Christmas season to hang from the Christmas tree. In 2018, Nabisco, the current maker of Barnum’s Animal Crackers, released the animals from their cages on the train and set them free.
