We pre-recorded today’s conversation for The Valley Business Today with Niki Cales from the Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce and her guest, Meghan Bowers, Director of Humane Society of Warren County to get the details for their upcoming fundraiser Waggin’ for Dragons.

Waggin’ for Dragons in an annual event and in 2021 it’s extra special because three non-profits (Humane Society of Warren County, Front Royal/Warren County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Front Royal/Warren County) will come together to benefit from the event. Community groups, friends and co-workers form teams of 20 to race in traditional dragon boats on a 200 meter course on the Shenandoah River.  Teams are welcome to register up until August 1st.  Teams are asked to work together to fund raise and race, so this makes for a great corporate team building activity. Details can be found here: https://hswcevents.org/wagginfordragons/

Meghan also told us about their new low-cost spay/neuter clinic that will open to the public on August 1, 2021. The clinic will operate 4-days a week, Monday through Thursday, with Tuesdays reserved for rescue and TNR groups.  This clinic will provide low-cost, quality spay and neuter surgery.  Vaccines and small services will be available at the time of surgery, or at quarterly vaccination clinics. Drop off and pick up are on the same day. The clinic is located at 840-B John Marshall Highway in Front Royal, VA 22630. Payment is due at the time of scheduling and pricing/details can be found here: https://humanesocietywarrencounty.com/new-s-n-clinic/
