Police investigate Stephens City home invasion

9 March 2016 News

STEPHENS CITY, VA–Stephens City police are investigating a Tuesday night home invasion that occurred at the Maplewood Terrace apartments on Plymouth Street.

Sgt. Ron Fox said in a telephone interview that around 10 p.m. Tuesday evening a man answered a knock at his door and was confronted by two males who forced him at gunpoint into his bathroom, where they pistol-whipped him.

Fox said the victim’s wallet was stolen by the suspects, who then fled on foot.

The victim–whom Fox did not identify–was taken to Winchester Medical Center to be treated for head injuries.

A child who was asleep in the home at the time of the attack was not injured and did not awaken during the incident.

The suspects are described as two light-skinned black males, believed to be in their early 20’s, wearing all black clothing and facial masks.

Anyone with information regarding the incident may call the Stephens City Police Department at 540-868-1012.
