Police make an arrest in the stabbing death of JMU graduate

An arrest has been made in the stabbing death of James Madison University graduate Jacob Patrick Lough.

Morgantown Police made the arrest Wednesday, January 17 of Jonathan Ramirez charging him with first degree murder.

On Tuesday Morgantown Police Officers responded to the report of a medical emergency at 537 Milford Street according to the West Virginia news report.

On arrival Officers found the body of the 26-year-old Lough with multiple stab wounds.

Lough was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation led detectives to charging the 23-year-old Ramirez with the stabbing.

Ramirez is from Watauga Texas and is currently being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

Online records show that Lough was a Services Coordinator at West Virginia University.

West Virginia University Police assisted in the investigation.
