Portion of Stickley Drive to close for three months starting today
Part of Stickley Drive (Route 1085) in Frederick County near Stephens City will close for about three months beginning today for utility work and roadway reconstruction related to the widening of Fairfax Pike (Route 277).
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) announced in a news release that Stickley Drive will be closed just south of the intersection with Fairfax Pike. Drivers who use this portion of the road will detour west onto Town Run Lane; signs will direct drivers on this detour route.
Residents and businesses along Stickley Drive will continue to have access to their properties.
Stickley Drive is scheduled to reopen in mid-October of this year and all work is weather permitting.
