REC awards grants to local non-profits

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) has awarded grants to local organizations that serve the communities in their service area.
The 2020 recipients include The Salvation Army of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke Counties receiving $5,000 to help families hit by the pandemic.
Frederick County’s Millwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company No. 21 received $2,000 to replace defective emergency scene lighting on the light tower and deployable scene lighting tripods on heavy rescue squad.
Other organizations include Richmond based Doorways, Fredericksburg’s Empower house, Madison County’s Madison Free Clinic, King William County’s Hamilton Holmes Middle School.
