REC: Some outages could linger into Tue. evening

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) continues the work of restoring power to customers.
However due to continued breaking of branches and power lines the process is slow as crews are also battling the conditions.
Power outages may need to be reported multiple times at myrec.coop/out.
REC estimates some outages could linger into Tuesday evening.
The crews have restored power to 16,000 customers.
As of Sun. night at 6 p.m. over 6,000 could be without power down from a total of 22,000 outages at the peak of the storm.
More than 20 broken poles have been identified and that many likely to be found.
Crews have discovered about 40 trees that had fallen along a single power line circuit.
Crews continue to work as quickly and safely as they can and ask for patience.
