Residential Fire on Young’s Drive in Warren County

At 9:16 am on Monday, January 8, 2018, Warren County Fire and Rescue Units were dispatched for a reported house fire at 439 Young’s Drive in the Shenandoah Farms area of Warren County. Fire and Rescue units arrived on the scene to find a single story, single family home with fire throughout the first floor and through the roof.
Firefighters quickly began a primary search and determined that no occupants were located in the home and started extinguishing the fire. It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours ensuring the fire was fully extinguished.
Investigators from the Warren County Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the blaze and determined that the sole occupant was not home at the time of the fire. The male occupant was displaced as a result of the fire with only the clothes he had on. He is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries to firefighters or occupants. The fire caused an estimated $180,000 in property and content damages.
Firefighters from Warren County Fire and Rescue responded on the call with mutual aid assistance and 22 personnel.
