RSW Regional Jail reports no active COVID-19 cases
There are no longer active COVID-19 cases at Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren (RSW) Regional Jail, according to a statement released yesterday.
The jail announced its first positive case of COVID-19 in an inmate on May 22.
On June 8, the number of inmates to test actively positive for COVID-19 reached 55. 17 inmates were listed as recovered. Five staff members were actively positive for COVID-19 on June 8 as well. The jail reported they were isolating at home.
RSW reported one actively positive case in an inmate and two actively positive cases in staff members last Thursday, June 11. 70 inmates and three staff members were listed as recovered.
As of 1 p.m. Monday, the jail reported there are no active cases of COVID-19 among inmates or staff. No hospitalizations or deaths have been reported according a statement on the jail’s website.
