RSW Regional Jail reports uptick in COVID-19 cases
Rappahannock Shenandoah Warren (RSW) Regional Jail announced on Wednesday that 16 inmates and six staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.
This announcement comes just days after the jail reported there were eight confirmed COVID-19 cases among four inmates and four staff members.
The jail said in a news release that all inmates with the coronavirus are currently housed in one housing unit.
Inmates have been provided a mask and all staff are said to have proper PPE. The jail is working with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and following recommendations for the proper way to monitor, treat and test any suspected cases.
