Salvation Army receives $1,000 donation from Kiwanis Club
The Front Royal Salvation Army’s annual dinner fundraiser was canceled this year due to COVID-19. To make up for the lost revenue from the event, the Kiwanis Club of Front Royal presented the Salvation Army with a $1,000 donation. This donation will allow the organization to continue providing food and additional assistance to community members in need.
“Monetary donations like this are appreciated because they help us to keep the doors open and give us the flexibility to buy items that are needed for core social services programs such as our food bank,” Salvation Army Lt. Matthew Tidman said in a news release. “We also appreciate donations of cleaning supplies and paper goods as these are currently in short supply and are desperately needed by our clients. We appreciate the Kiwanis Club of Front Royal for [their] support during this time. We know that together we can withstand this storm and support our community no matter what happens.”
