Scammers target Shenandoah County residents

International Automotive Components Group

Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) warns of a scam reported in the county.

It has been reported most recently that someone attempting to impersonate a deputy of the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office is calling himself Deputy Eric Marshall.

It’s the  typical scam with this person telling the prospective victim that they must  get a money order to pay off a dept or a warrant will be issued for their arrest.

Residents are reminded to not provide the caller with any information.

These types of calls will never come from anyone from the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office and no one by that name works for the office.

As always you can verify a call of this nature by calling the Sheriff’s Office yourself.

If you are a victim of this scam or any other scam you should contact the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office at 540-459-6100.
