SCPS Employee is indicted on several charges and suspended

Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS) reports that an employee with the school system has been indicted and suspended.

Tracy Ann Phillips, a teacher at North Fork Middle School faces 22 counts of obtaining money by false pretenses along with 19 counts of exploiting a student’s mental capacity.

Philips of Bayse Virginia was directly indicted by a Shenandoah County Circuit Court on May 10.

SCPS announced that Philips has been suspended from her position at North Fork Middle School.

The school system reports that it can not provide any additional information in the case at this time.
