Sen. Mark Warner in Winchester yesterday Apr. 6 spoke to about 30 nonprofit representatives about how the American Rescue Plan Act had provisions for nonprofits.

The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan includes provisions for non-profits like the Paycheck Protection Program for access to forgivable loans.

Because of the pandemic many non-profits had to cancel their critical fundraisers last year.

Because of that many in the group expressed concerns on how the money could be spent.

Warner told the gathering that he would advocate for more flexibility in the act.
