Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival announces changes for 2021

24 November 2020 Covid19 Winchester News

The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival will look different in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Current statewide restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings limit the festival’s ability to plan major events. Many large-scale indoor events will transition outdoors under multiple tents at the Frederick County Fairgrounds.

The Winchester Radiologists Pumps and Pearls Ladies Party and the Ladies Commonwealth Luncheon will take place at a new location — upstairs at Piccadilly’s Public House and Restaurant.

The Pumps and Pearls Ladies Party will take place Monday, April 26, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $80 and will include an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, music, dancing, door prizes, and the always popular shoe contest.

The Ladies Commonwealth Luncheon will take place on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $50.

The United Bank Bloomin’ Wine Fest will temporarily call the Frederick County Fairgrounds home in 2021. The new location includes plenty of space for attendees to spread out, indoor vendor spaces, large tents and plenty of parking. The Bloomin’ Wine Fest will also expand to three days: Friday, April 23, Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25. Beer gardens will also be available with domestic, hard cider and craft beer options. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limit of 900 tickets will be sold in four-hour tasting blocks.

Tickets for all three events will go on sale Dec. 1 and can be purchased online at thebloom.com, at Festival Headquarters or by calling 540-662-3863.
