Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging Annual Senior Picnic

Wednesday June 14, the Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging held their annual senior picnic. This year’s picnic was held inside the Clarke County Ruritan building.

Every year the six senior centers associated with Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging come together to celebrate volunteerism, enjoy a meal and fellowship. Additionally volunteers in the agency are honored for Volunteer of the Year. One person from each of the centers is awarded with the distinction. Faye Eckley was the Warren County Senior Center Volunteer of the Year.

The Shenandoah Area Agency on Aging (SAAA) is a non-profit organization that provides high quality services and opportunities that enhance the dignity and independence of seniors and promote their contributions to the community. Centers are located in Winchester City as well as Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties.
